Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1994 mitsubishi eclipse GS turbo 2.0 L and I installed a new clutch today. I just purchased the car about a month ago. But a couple days after I got the car I tried to drive it and it wouldnt go into gear. But earlier that day I could hear a buzzing like sound when the clutch pedal was not depressed but when it was depressed it went away. Therefore meaning that the throw out meaning was going bad right? But as I stated earlier I installed a new clutch today. After everything was checked I cranked up the car and I went into gear perfectly. I went driving for about an hour and all went well and I went back home. About 45 minutes after I went back outside to my car and tried to leave. But it would not go into gear again. Heres the catch. I raised the car back up and had a friend depress the clutch pedal so i could see what was happening under the car. The previous owner to my car had also installed a new clutch about a year and a half ago. But I noticed a bolt was missing that connected the bell housing to the motor. The bolt is located right above the slave cylinder. So every time the clutch pedal was depressed the bell housing and the engine would seperate instead of staying together. So I rode with my friend to the mitsubishi dealership to try and see if the could look up what size bolt I needed, thinking that would solve the problem of it not going into gear. But when we put the bolt in place it still was having the same problem. The car will try to get into gear but I think that the clutch is not fully engaging b/c of the throwout bearing because when I try to put it in gear the gears clash. Could the engine and bell housing moving away from one another bend or damage the throw out bearing.?? If not what else could the problem be. PLEASE get back to me ASAP. thanx

Re: Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow dude, thats sucks. Sounds to me like you've got one big fuck mess going on down there... you would have to be missing a LOT of bolts for it to actually move the tranny from the engine block. Check around and make sure you've still got some on there. While you're at it, it wouldnt be a bad idea to replace that TOB and check other bolts to make sure the previous owner didnt fuck anything else up. Sorry to hear about that man, I hate to hear about ricer-ass previous owners screwing the DSM experience up for new comers.

Also, you should use the subforums and use a more descriptive title, I know that before I became a mod if I saw a misplaced or nondescript thread title I would just pass it over. Welcome to AF man, I hope we can help.
