On our 2000 Taurus the theft light started flashing yesterday. Tried both keys, locked and unlocked the doors, don't know what else to do. Any suggestions . . . other than paying a visit to the dealer to have the key reprogrammed? Thanks, Roy

Re: Theft Light Flashing
When does the light flash? Does the car start?
If you're just seeing the theft light flashing when the car is shut off, but it goes out when you start it, that is normal. In this case, I'd suggest that you just noticed the light flashing yesterday, but it's probably been doing it all along. If you have the owner's manual, pull it out and read the section on the instrumentation and indicators. See if what your car is doing is different than what the manual says it will do. -Rod |

Re: Theft Light Flashing
Thanks Rod, we must have overlooked the flashing before! Thought it just started and that it might run the battery down. Roy
