Re: broken cam
Itll work, but the timing is going to be off and the engine will run differently.

Re: broken cam
You could always get a new cam and make more power..

Re: broken cam
you could try to find regrinds as well if you dont mind any of that kind of stuff. alittle extra spunk. i suppose. the z6 came is fairly close. im guessing since its a sohc vtec cam.

Re: broken cam
ok so i got another head cause it was cheaper to get the whole head than just the cam. its a good thing too cause we took that broken cam head apart and the bearings were just toast it was so bad i dont think having it machined would have brought it back.(for any reasonable amount of money anyways) but i have a question about timing the mini me. do i time it to the spec of the car i got te head off of or do i time it for the 1990 spec. does it depend on the computer you use or the head. i would guess the head but im not sure. but if you need to know im running a chipped pm6 for now untill i convert to obd1 to run the vtec right. And the head is a y8. if you have any answers or suggetions let me know. thanks again Paul

Re: broken cam
To the cam, or in your case the head.
