84 lebaron drives a few miles then acts like its runnin out of gas

84 lebaron 4cyl. mech. fuel pump and a carb..will drive fine for a mile or 2 then acts like its runnin out of gas .. i can pull over and restart it and it will run allright 4 awhile. seems 2 mainly do it on hills . but my driveway is very steep and i usually have 2 sit ther a long time 2 get onto the main road. it never does it until i'm out on the road.. when i first bought it about a month ago i drove it about 100 miles 10-20 miles at a time it ran fine i hadn't done anything to it.. it just started acting up .. i tried the fuel filter.. removed the gas cap checked the air filter .. choke on the carb.. didn't help any..any ideas ?? thanks

Just corrected the same problem in my 89....turned out it was the fuel pump...located in the gastank.....it was not producing the fuel pressure needed to keep the engine running right...and while you are at it, ask a mechanic to check the Throttle Body...if it needs cleaning, 250 lbs psi of air is used to clean it....at a mechanics shop.
