Replacing blown airbag 05'
I am rebuilding an 05 Rendezvous CX which had the driver's side airbag blown in an accident; the passenger side did not since no one was sitting in that seat(but the passenger seatbelt sure cinched up and needs replacing too). Once I find a replacement airbag & passenger seatbelt, I intend to install and reprogram. Has anyone replaced the driver airbag? What other parts should be replaced(front sensor?), and should the system then be reprogrammed, but how? I have heard war stories of a vehicle(not a Rendezvous) after replacment and sale, had the airbags blow on a new customer just driving down the street.

Re: Replacing blown airbag 05'
Welcome to AF. Normally because of liability issues we do not give detailed instructions on airbag repairs, I can tell you the DERM, front sensors and other components must be replaced, I suggest you get a factory manual and follow the guidelines.
