electrical problems....please help
I have a 90 tsi awd and i have no dash(guage) lights or instrument lights. they just wont turn on at all. i have checked fuses under the dash and under the hood and they looked fine. also my fog lights dont turn on. my heat wont blow any air either. when i turn the knob the fan turns on under the hood, but no air comes out of the vents. when i bought the car, it had no radio and it has an aftermarket alarm hooked up, but it wasnt used in a long time and i didnt get a remote for it. i have researched for hours and found that usually when the fuse goes out, the tail lights dont work, but mine work fine including the turning signals. i found some info that the dimmer for the dash can get messed up and prevent the lights from coming on, but i dont know how to check my dimmer out for malfunction. any help is appreciated. thanks

Re: electrical problems....please help
Yeah dimmer switches go bad. Or there may be a short somewhere in the wiring. Get a voltmeter and check to see if any power is getting to the dimmer switch.
