Rear speaker-4 wires stock, 2 wires aftermarket
Well, now that ive managed to get the rear deck out of my car and my speakers in hand, Im faced with more issues. -_-. anyone have an explanation as to why my stock speakers have a 4 wire import and my aftermarkets have 2? When i use any combination of wires, either i have no bass, or i have no highs. i own a 2001 cavalier.
Help soon? the back of my car's a mess.. |

Re: Rear speaker-4 wires stock, 2 wires aftermarket
I have the same problem too. When i connect all 4 though, only the left speaker works. Any combination in the right speaker and it cuts out or ill get feedback when trying to connect the wires.
Any help anyone? |

i think it has something dealing with the door chimes... i'm not sure tho. mine only has 2 wires running to my speakers.

Re: Rear speaker-4 wires stock, 2 wires aftermarket
some cavaliers have amplifiers built into them (2 door ls models) the chimes are with the databus system - which is also why there is no turn on lead
