Tomorrow i am going to try testing the Maf and ignition module and O2 sensors.

DTC's must be diagnosed and repaired in the order they are retrieved. After repairing the fisrt one, clear all DTC's and perform a drive cycle to verify the repair is complete.

Need more info to point you in the right direction:
2WD or 4WD?
1500, 2500, or 3500?
What engine?

Well i know its not the cats causing it and i know what the problem there is the thing is when that fuse blows it causes all the other codes. I am trying to thin down the most likely to be the the problem and it is not consistent i can change the fuse drive for a couple of days or so then it pops

Re: 1998 Suburban Eng1 fuse keeps blowing

ENG 1 fuse feeds a pink wire that feeds the camshaft position sensor, MAF sensor, all 4 oxygen sensor heaters, and the canister purge solenoid. You'll need to catch it when it's shorting out to find it, (very tough to find). The most likely cause is a heater in one of the oxygen sensors is shorting out. You can try disconnecting the oxygen sensors one at a time and drive it and see if the fuse blows. When ENG 1 pops, all of those sensors will set DTC's, which is what you're getting.

Re: 1998 Suburban Eng1 fuse keeps blowing

Hi

I had the same problem with my 96 k1500 after I removed and re-installed the trans. Like a bumb A$% I failed to properly put the wire harness clamps and secure the wires.
What is happening is a short to ground that will open the fuse engine 1.
I found the wire rubbing at the rear of the engine just below the wire retainer that is attached to the coil and loops down the back of the engine. Yes it is Big pain in the a$% to work on.
The rubbed wire was in the big clump where they all come together.
I had to unhook the harness from the t-case and trans its a 5 speed
and pulled it up and out to find this.
I only had a code for maf.
They had the engine out I would look there first. Just my 2c worth.
Good luck.
Dale
P.S.
Don't start replacing parts to fix this. Look at the wires first, may save you some cash.

because the engine was removed/replaced your problem is quite common as these wires do get damaged because care was not taken to properly position the wires to where they belong.

Inspect all these wires around the engine and wrap with loom and tape material ..use tyraps to secure ..

those codes are from loss of voltage !
