95 Bretta Z26 3100 problems
My daughter who is attending college about 80 miles away called me last night and told me her low coolant light just came on and the temp gauge rose to the red zone real fast. She pulled over into a c-store parking lot and called me and while we were talking she said the light went out and the gauge fell back down to the normal zone. She drove another 5 blocks to a friends apartment and he looked at it for her and talked to me about it. He said the serpentine belt was still on but the coolant resivoir was low and it looked like it had spit coolant out in the engine compartment. It was dark and cold so thats all he could tell me for now. I am wondering what I am going to find. Possibly blown head gasket? any other ideas on what would cause this> I cant go down there with my Suburban and trailer until tomorrow afternoon so just trying to be prepared. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks, ccnova |

Re: 95 Bretta Z26 3100 problems
This should be in the Beretta forum below, anyway, the most common issue is the intake manifold gaskets, short of a burst hose or stuck thermostat, leaking water pump.

Thanks for the reply! Sorry about being in the wrong forum. I should have looked harder first but wanted to get it entered this morning before I officially clocked in at work. I am hoping its just a stuck thermostat also. Again thanks for the reply.
