2000 Astro shifting/ high RPM problem
hello
Well I just had a newer motor put in about 2 weeks ago. van has been driving just perfect, but yesterday we had some snow, slush and ice and van drove great. Started this morning to warm up for 15 minutes. then when put into forward it was like a boom into gear. then when on the road it was trying to shift and reeving up in RPM's 20mph then like at 45mph did that for like 2 miles then down an hill and up and on the freeway to work, where it seemed fine. Got off and it seems to shift now at 10 mph then at like 45mph. Got into parking lot to put into forward and then into reverse and boom boom seems a bit hard shift. It has no gear for passing rolloing @ 45 then punch it and nothing build speed up slowley.. now service engine light is on a Last edited by CHEVY1; 12-28-2011 at 10:12 PM.
