Battery Draw - 2000 E320
I have a 2000 E320 with the problem of battery continues to drain. It was confirmed by the dealer that the climate control (ECU) draws 1.2A and the audio draws 0.66A continuously with the key removed. Repair cost would exceed $3700. I'm looking for an alternate way to fix the above problems, like installing an relay to control the current flow to the units. Please tell me if anyone has this kind of experience. Tell me how to unlock the climate control unit so it can be pulled out with or without special tool. Thanks.

Re: Battery Draw - 2000 E320
I haven't heard of this problem on the E-Class, but on the C Class (2000 body style), the seat control modules and sometimes the overhead control panel go bad and drain the battery. To fix the problem, replace the defective unit(s). To get around the problem, disconnect the defective unit(s)
