Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on the 2006 Passat. I was considering buying. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. Any advice on the car in general? I know Volkswagen has had problems with certain models in the past, though I've read the 2006 Passat resolves some of those issues.

Re: 2006 passat

2006 passat with 49k miles in tip top shape, not an issue to date except both rims on passenger side bent, no known abuse to cause it.
We had the 2001.5 with tons of problems, we were getting ahead thanks to this web page, but my wife got rear ended in traffic on a highway outside of Boston. The other SUV rolled, she got hit so hard in rear bumper, the front passenger door buckled the front fender. She, 5 months pregnant, didn't get hurt at all. It was obvious we buy another Passat.
By the way,we got the Nav system. Its great and I love it and the integration, but in hind sight would rather a portable one to use in other cars such as a rental on vacation.
