2000 GC Hard Break & Delayed Acceleration
Greetings, all!
I finally got to my van and bled the breaks and put new pads up front and all that jazz. While out testing, I stopped hard (enough to trigger the ABS for a few pulses) and when I tried to accelerate, the transmission wasn't in gear. Took about 1-2 seconds lightly on the gas pedal, then *clunked* back into gear (unfortunately, with some RPMs behind it...). Any ideas what would cause this? I filled the transmission back up the other day (it had ran low while out of my care) and seemed to be working beautifully after I filled it. Does anyone have any ideas or pointers as to what could cause that? Thanks in advance all!

Re: 2000 GC Hard Break & Delayed Acceleration
During very hard braking there was more than likely not enough fluid around the filter for the pump to pick up at it was trying to pump air.Thats why the 2-3 second delay.
