Water Temp
I had changed the thermostat on my villager about 2 years ago. Right now the temp gauge reads nothing and from what I can remember it didn't work when I made the change, I thought I forgot to hook something up. Nope. I have no heat until I hit higher speeds. And today I was going down the highway doing 70 and it died on me. It won't rev higher than 2,000 and it won't go faster than 56 mph. The bottle is above the max level. I could hear a bubbling sound under the hood when I had the hood up and turned the van off. Please help me this is our only car.

Re: Water Temp
We need more information, what year is this van? What exactly is the present problem? low RPM and speed, no heat? What's up?

It's a 96. it drives fine right after start up. I was doing 70 on the highway and all of a sudden the engine lost power. I tried to give it more gas and it wouldn't rev. higher than 2,000 and won't go faster than 56 mph. I got home looked at the coolant tank and it was above max. I turned the car off and I could hear a bubbling sound coming from the front area of the engine. I also have no heat until I reach about 60 mph. The engine light won't turn off. I had replaced the thermostat but I can't remember which way I put it in. Also the engine temp gauge shows no temp.

Re: Water Temp
Your system is air bound. You need to bleed out the air in your system. The web link enclosed will show you what you will have to do to rid the heater problem.
