Re: how do i crush a BOV????

To answer the original question (I'm pretty sure this is in the archives too), the quick and dirty way to crush a BOV is to crush it in a vice preferably (but a hammer and block of wood or something will work if you go slow and pay attention) until the vac line nipple is just level with the base. The right way to do it is to crush it just until it takes 19-20"hg to crack the valve off the seat (hold it up to a light). You can use a MightyVac or other hand pump.

The link to Gus' old page is for the Gus Mod, which goes a good bit beyond the simple crushed BOV, but is well worth it when implemented properly. I now build them with all NPT hardware for stregth and leak free operation. You can get fancy too and control it with DSMlink, etc.
