Exclamation HELP!! frist time Grand Prix GTP buyer with lots of questions

I need you opinion I am 23 years old I was looking at all the coupes around went to the dealer to look at a solstice and found a new 2005 grand prix GTP that only has 6,000 miles on the clock it was a demonstrator. He is trying to sell it for $22,000 and I looked it up on KBB.com and it’s only worth $18,600. its got all the bells and whistles heads up display, paddle shifter, heated leather seats, cd changer, sun roof ,Comp G package. My only thing is the price and is there a way to hook up an Ipod to that radio? Is this a good buy? Do they hold up well under normal driving? I don’t know much about grand prixes so any info will help me.

Well, you can have an aftermarket cable installed for your iPood. $22000 is way too steep considering the G8 is practically on the doorstep and grand prix's will likely be dirt cheap in comparison after it's released. Show them the KBB quote and tell them that they are asking way too much, even if it was just a demo.

Plus who know's who drove it, I thought demos were used by employees, but maybe I'm wrong. Otherwise, I'd say it's a nice car, has some quirks like the intermediate steering shaft and the headlight shake. I love mine, that's fo sho!

Hm, you can get one of these for like 14,000 if you look in the right places, I could have bought a GTP same as that with a little more miles for 13,000 so like 15,000 is the most you should go, the GTP I had seen was loaded and came in purple, it was also an 05'.

Agreed. 25-30K miles will knock off $13-18K off the original price. Don't be in a rush.

Don't know why, I can't stand going on extended shopping trips - especially for shoes with the wife, yet I'll shop till I drop when I'm look'n for a car.

Go figure. One of the worst investments you will make is buying a car. So try to keep as much of your cash in your wallet and not in some one else's bank account.
