Re: My first Model - Honda Beat Mugen
All I can say is you've got good taste.
I've that kit as well. erm, a similar one... not the Mugen.First model huh? Try reading most of the FAQs at this site, and look through all the threads for aspects of others' builds that seem to fit the paradigm of a successful build. Pay attention to the various surface faces, because they are what the paint will be resting on. Don't be upset when you error, just try again and again. That is how you'll eventually discover the methods. Be patient, and enjoy the process. Finally, since it is your first kit, maybe stick to an out of the box build, or nearly there. Get a few completions under your belt, then begin substantially modifying them. Finally, weclome! Have fun with this therapeutic pastime.

Re: My first Model - Honda Beat Mugen
Welcome to AF and to this little hobby/passion/obsession of ours. And what a great little kit to start with.
I agree that you might want to consider a relatively straight forward out of the box build for your first kit - unless you have modelling experience with other media of course. And definitely do not be afraid of making mistakes. Some of us (well, me) have years of experience with models and still make mistakes. I have never seen the insides of one of these kits, but I do know that some of the earlier Fujimi kits can be a little inconsistent with their quality of part fitment. May advice is to test fit all parts that you can, though that is good advice for any kit. And read the instructions thoroughly. Other than that, there is always the FAQs. Good luck, Grant. |

Re: My first Model - Honda Beat Mugen
I built one of these a while back, good little kit, should go together with no dramas. Just remember to take your time, don't rush.
