Sony Vaio issues.

The other day I was browsing online for NFL stats then my notebook just totally shut off without any warning. It will not turn back on whatsoever. The power adapter light is on but the LED lights on the notebook does not come on at all. Doesn't even charge. My power adapter usually gets warm but its been on for an hour and its still cold. Any ideas? I have important stuff on my notebook and I really need it to get it back up. My warranty expired in June...just my luck.

Re: Sony Vaio issues.

They aren't the best.

Anyhow, does it turn on using just the battery? If not then I would say that you have a blown PSU and when it blew it might have taken the MOBO with it. If it's just the PSU you can get them as cheap as $15. If it took out the MOBO then you're better off buying a new laptop.

Yeah they're annoying. I think its the motherboard. They're charging me 699.99 for a new one. You're right, better off getting another laptop. I've decided to try out the MAC iBook. I'm sick of PC's. Whats PSU?

Yeah, the little power brick you plug into the wall, some people call it an A/C adapter.

Anyhow, iBooks are nice, just expensive.
