Shock Absorber
I own a 95 chevy truck(350, 5.7L) and I'm hearing a noise coming from one of the shock absorber(driver's side) that has the kind of sound when you open an old door. I sprayed some WD-40 on the joint areas which did the trick for a while but now it's doing it again. Is this a sign of it going bad?

Rubber bushings will do that as they get old. As long as it's tight, I'd either let it go, or keep spraying it. I would use a silicone based spray, not petroleum based, over time the rubber will get soft.

I'm curious, the splash shields under the fender are bent outward tremendously. Could this be a sign of shocks needing to be replaced? Plus the boot around the upper balljoint on the pssenger's side is torn. Could this cause any problems? Should i replace it?
