V1500 and R1500 Suburbans???
When I look up parts for my 1989 Chevrolet Suburban it asks me if it is a V1500 or a R1500. What is the difference? How can I tell what mine is?runaround

Re: V1500 and R1500 Suburbans???
Hello Infinity89,
I believe the difference is that the R1500 is 2 wheel drive and the V1500 is 4 wheel drive. Google it to check though. Sandman |

For chevy C is usually for 2wheel drive and K is for 4WD. Are they asking for your engine code? That should be on the emissions sticker under the hood.

Re: V1500 and R1500 Suburbans???
Between 87 and 91 they had R and V models. R is 2wd. V is 4wd. This is according to LMCTruck (http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/csb/0009.asp)
