today i was bored and was just thinking of ways to make the gauges look less plain. I like how the newer style has the chrome rings around the gauges, so i came up with an idea involving one of those bezel covers you can get from ebay. I like the carbon fiber gauge face that you can find on ebay ( http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...g/051CRB-3.jpg ) and i photoshopped it (im not the best at photoshop) to see what it would look like with chrome trim around the curves ( http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...1CRB-3copy.jpg ). My idea is to get the gauge face and find some nice plyable chrome trim and do what i did in the picture. But before i did so, i just wanted to get some input to see what others thought, good/bad idea? improvements?
any input is welcome, thanks

Re: gauge mod idea
yeah, ya know, it doesnt look too bad, I kinda like it. I however, i would have a problem doing it with my car. I usually mess delicate little (expensive) things like this up the first time around.
Maybe at the same time you have your cluster out, convert it to LED's.... http://www.superbrightleds.com
