787B, how much to pay?

Hi everyone,

What would be a reasonable price (shipping included) for a 1/24 Tamiya Mazda 787B?

I know that the right price is the one I would most likely pay for it, but I want an objective starting point!

Thanks,

Ioan

$70 at least

you may get one cheaper on Ebay if you are there at the right time

its a discontinued car, that is extremely rare, I payed that money for the car, but its a very cool car to make. or you can also pay 50 more and get AutoArts Superb version in 1:18

Re: 787B, how much to pay?

Let's see:
15 + 70 = 85/2 = 42,5$
Sounds like a good base!

Re: 787B, how much to pay?

The original 787B was reissued several years ago, so it's not rare. Tamiya also released a limited edition 787B with Calgograph decals a few years ago, and it was sold for about 2500 yen (about 23USD).

Tamiya also has a tendency to reissue kits on a somewhat cyclical (though unpredictable) basis. If you need it now, well you'll pay what the market bears. But if you can wait until they reissue it again, then you'll find it for a more reasonable price.

Re: 787B, how much to pay?

I got a second chance offer on eBay for it, as I was outbid.
Would 32€ including shipping be a good price for this kit?

Thanks for the help.

Re: 787B, how much to pay?

32 incl. would be an unbelivable good price ;-) I was watching some 787's on ebay and not a single one was that cheap. currently there is only one for 60 buy now

Re: 787B, how much to pay?

I was hesitating because it's an older edition that comes with Tamiya decals, not with the Cartograph decals the newer edition has.

In fact there is another one on eBay for about 40€ + 7€ (cheapest shipping costs from Japan), but it's the same with the Tamiya decals.
