AC is stuck on and some doors wont open on 2000

I'm trying to fix a few of the problems with my 2000 Intrigue before I sell it off, and two big ones remain.

#1: When I turn my climate control on, it is stuck on even after the car is shut off. I have to physically disconnect a battery terminal and then reconnect it to get it to stop. It only gets stuck in the on position after I turn it on myself, not every time I start the car.

#2: My two rear doors intermittently cannot be opened from either the outside or the inside. They gave no warning before failing, and sometimes magically decide that they want to open again, but then usually give out a few weeks later.

Any ideas?

Just guessing?

#1: A/C Relay stuck?

#2: try lubing the moving parts of the door catches, maybe they are froze up.

mine would freeze up either locked or unlocked. I had to replace the solenoid in the one rear door. The new door solenoid is improved over the original.

You could tell the door wanted to lock or unlock, but the solenoid would just lock up. You could not lock/unlock it manually either.

Keep in mind that if you have your climate control set to defrost or floor/defrost the AC will come on no matter what you do. Also if you have your fresh air/recirculate button set to recirculate the AC will not turn off.

Sorry, I typed that out incorrectly. What I meant was that the blower fan for the climate controls stays on no matter if the car is on or off. The only way to get it to stop is pull the battery terminal, then put it in the off position, and turn it on again.
