WIP Porsche Carrera GT

Hello everyone! After building the 4 little Enzo gangsters. I started on this Porsche Carrera GT after a week of rest and now really taking my time to built them. Following are pictures taken recently on my progress work. Unfortunately I am not able to finish up with the body as I had ran out of TS-13 which is Tamiya Clear. The local shop is out of it too and is awaiting for shipment. No confirmation on when it will arrive but I guess I just have to put the body on hold and work on the other part of the kit.

Dashboard

Headlights

Engine

Discbreaks and calipers

Rear

Front

Parts ready for assembly

Parts ready to be added with carbon firber decals

Carbon firbers decals pre-cut and ready for application

Bodies paintes with 2 layer of mist and 2 layer of wet clear coat now awaiting 2 more layers of clear.

Enjoy and comments welcome!

WOW! Incredible determination and organizing of work there! Not to mention the quality of the work you are doing!

Impressive!

PS: Where did you get those boxes, you keep the parts in? They seem very usefull.

Re: WIP Porsche Carrera GT

What a assembley line !
Absolutely fantastic....
One thing though... if you have ref pics of the gt.. there isn't a line where the Tamiya kit body and doors meet.... you'll have to putty them up before painting if its not too late and/or you're going for perfection.
Here's a fair pic:
Click me
Dry fit them and you'll see what I mean.

Keep up the awsomely fantastic good work opcorn:
I'm curious too about the boxes... would you happen to have the item#?

Re: WIP Porsche Carrera GT

Crazy it may seem after the 4 enzos. the objective is to finish off my stash as soon as possible so that I can buy more. Home Minister (Grilfriend) says "Why buy more? You are buying anymore untill you finish at least half your stash" which is at least 30 boxes.

Jano,
I got the boxes from Ikea in Malaysia. I am sure they have it where you're from.

Cyberkid,
I do have reference pics. I totally understand what you're saying. Before I actully started on this model. I had considered the problem that I may face later when attaching the doors to the body. Because I am using spray can from this built. I am not sure if the paints will reach the hidden area. You know what I mean. Basically, I am partly lazy I hope the thing will be well glues and will bot show too much when I put them together. Thank you for you advise and your attention.

I know exactly what you mean... it was hard to get a even coat in there even with an AB after it was puttied.... I had to use a ton of retarder...

Hahahahaha! No! of course not! I airbrush everything including the bodies of my builts. Only for this Porsche Carrera GT. I am only using Tamiya Spray Cans for the bodies and it's parts.
