Cranking sound
I've been having a problem with my '99 Lumina where it makes a cranking sound when going around right hand turns. If I go slow enough, it doesn't make a sound, and its typically more intense the faster I make a turn. The best thing i can compare the sound to is the chains on a roller coaster when it takes you up to the first drop.
We put new brakes on, and the noise still persists, so I don't think its related to that. |

Re: Cranking sound
Worn outer cv joint on that side would be my guess. Did you see if the boot was split?
