2002 Grand Prix se

I'm thinking of buying a 2002 se (3.1) with 115000 miles on it. Was wondering what are the common problems with this car-do they have intake problems like the early 3.1? tranny problems, etc. car looks great and I'd loved my old 1996 GP, but am wondering if I should upgrade

Re: 2002 Grand Prix se

I would skip on the SE if it's a 3.1. Look for a GT with the 3800 or a GTP with the supercharged 3800.

I have to agree with Rich the 3.1 lacks power and does have problems. The 3.8 GT or GTP are much better choices both from a performance standpoint and availablility of performance parts.
