Busted CV shaft
I got a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 and the CV axle busted but the shaft it bolts to got tweaked just a little and i need to replace it. What exactly is that shaft called that goes into the front end? And how hard would it be to replace it??
Thanks

Re: Busted CV shaft
Ya thats one of the parts that broke, but it bolts to another shaft that goes into the front diff and I'm not sure what that part would be called? One of the spots for the bolts got tweeked so now if I were to install a new CV, I wouldn't be able to get 1 of the bolts to thread in, so i wanna replace the part.

Re: Busted CV shaft
That is a whole unit. That unit slips into the front diff and the other end bolts to the hub.
