One problem to another... starter

So I replace my alternator two weeks ago and the car ran fine, then all of a sudden on Wedensday my car stops starting. Like I turn the key and nothing happens, no clicking, grinding, nothing silence but the thing is all my accesories and stuff work! So what i've done is taken the cables off the battery cleaned them put them back on, checked my ignition fuses, and bypassed the safety on my clutch thinking that might be the problem. So anyways I don't know what else to do! I mean its not like the starter was going bad or anything, i just went out to the river one day and went to get back in my car and the damn thing wouldnt start, now i have to push start it... Well thanks guys I appreciate it.

Re: One problem to another... starter

the fact that it push starts suggests that its not a ignition or fuel system issue. If you have an aftermarket alarm system, that could be related, or it could be a starter related issue, although usually there's a "click" sound where the bendix is attempting to engauge
