Re: 4x4 no codes

233 or 236 transfer case?
A lot of times you can find a code stored in history even if the light is not on.
Also some codes do not turn on the light.
If a 236 get a good transmission/transfer case/engine capable scanner on it and check for codes past present or history and go threw the shifting test in the scanner.

If a 233 there is a way to ground pin 13 on diagnostic connector and get codes.

Re: 4x4 no codes

About all you can check without a scanner is fuses and wiring plug in.
It will run in 2W untill you can save up some dollars to fix it.
Even after you get codes to fix it you will have to repair something.
Good luck on the new one and finals.
Take of them first.
