Adding Transmission Fluid?
I have on 03 with the V6 and had the trans serviced not too long ago but after checking it i think I need to add some. With that being said I see the red knob on the top right of the motor but seems I need to remove lots of stuff to get to it? Anyone know who to get to it with out removing anything unnecessarily.

Re: Adding Transmission Fluid?
You do not need to remove anything. After removing the red cap just use a funnel with a long hose attached to replenish the ATF (Dextron-III). Since there is no dipstick you need to verify level is correct. So see the link below.

Re: Adding Transmission Fluid?
Well thats the thing, I tried to get to the red cap but its like under the exhaust piping and between the air box. I cant even get my hand to it to turn it.

Get someone with smaller hands to do it. I have no problems getting to it. Just go in from the front between the battery and exhaust pipe crossover.

Re: Adding Transmission Fluid?
I wasn't implying you were. Some people have big hands and arms so I can see difficulty getting to the filler cap. If removing the battery is helpful to you then do it. All I was saying is you can get to it without removing any parts. Our layout should be identical. See pics below. As I mentioned earlier I have no problems getting the cap off as you can see by the pic and without removing the battery. I used my left arm/hand and I am right handed.
