Re: 1/43rd Lotus 7
Astounding work, well done! I love all the incredible detail.
P.S. Thanks for the last photo 'especially' for me It's just hard to visualise sometimes how small this thing is.

Absolutely love it!
That last picture just...begagglefies ![]() The only comment I have is that the fit of the bonnet is disappointing ![]() What's teh problem there? Is it fixable? Quote:

Re: 1/43rd Lotus 7
Thanks for all the comments folks.
@klutz_100: I agree with you about the bonnet, one of the problems with such a small scale, even a small gap looks huge. It's down to the thickness of the resin, I thinned it down as much as I dared, but any thinner and it would almost certainly break. I'll be displaying the model with the bonnet off anyway so I decided to settle for an imperfect fit rather than risk destroying the part. Once again, thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, the only question now is what's next: '53 C-Type Jag, '66 Ford GT40, '95 Mclaren F1 GTR or maybe a street car, Dino 246 GTS or Ferrari F430? Stay tuned for the next installment of "Rab strains his eyes and patience in 1/43rd" ![]() Cheers - Rab. |

Re: 1/43rd Lotus 7
It is extremely nice for a scale, I love the front lights, they look very realistic.
I agree with Klutz, last picture really blows your mind. |
