What the heck is supposed to be there?
I had P0443 code, which said there was a fault with my purge vavle C. I replaced it and noticed that a line runs from the throttle body to a broken piece inside the fender. I put my finger where the plastic piece should be and sure enough i could feel the air rushing. What is it and where do i get it? ITs a 98 RS.

I have no idea what your talking about. Im guessing its inside the passenger fender? Is the vac line broken or is the canister broken?

From when i changed it on my expedition, i think its the carbon canister. It is on the passenger side fender, but it the unrecognizable piece of plastic that is left looks like the kind used for the windshield washer fluid tank or coolant storage.

So the vac line is broken? Is this the line that comes off the top of the throttle body? If the plastic line is broken you just need to replace it with a rubber one.

Watch your language in the thread title...
 I already went and changed it... As for your problem... Did you just try plugging the vacuum line first and see if that changes things? A vacuum leak is never gonna be good news... Besides, you don't need the EGR stuff anyways. It's just recommended. lol

Rightous Blackcrow, um....you want me to just skip the plastic. I will have a picture up tonight, i forgot my camera at home. Altough i don't think the plastic was an EGR Valve.

It looks like the Evaporative Emission Purge Solenoid. I have searched on a few sites and this is what it seems to be called. You might have to go to the dealer for this part.
