Is a Auto dealer required to provide 2 sets of Keys or remotes?
I recently bought a 2003 Buick Lesabre LTD edition fully loaded. We were talked into it because of all its features. It has a 2 person memory feature that requires 2 separate driver remotes for programming. It also is supposed to have security keys 1 for valet. And 2 regular keys that work on everything. They have electronic id's built into them for security. I only received 1 of those keys. I want to know if it required that the dealer provide me with copies of these keys and another remote. It seems to me that they should. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

No they are not obligated to, but I'm pretty sure if you go to the dealer they bought it from they can get you a deal on a set.

Its very important when negotiating that all verbal promises are included on worksheet such as a small dent to be fixed, scratches - torn seat - knob missing - replacements ect ect...
When you purchase a NEW car you get spare keys and a Manual, with a USED car it's hit and miss The used car Salesman hands you one KEY and says thanks for the business, lots of buyers at this point says i am supposed to get 2 keys or where is the manual... Your buying a used car...CHECK that vehicle has got your expections... this is something that must be written with offer... check this link http://www.usedcartips.org/NEGOTIATE2.html for an understanding how the process works |
