not to mention its not a 98 Z28 as mentioned in the video.

Has flat hood, its a 93-97 Z28.

Who cares? Well, 93-97 Camaros had the LT1, which is more low end power. 98-02 Camaros had the LS1, more top end.

Im almost positive the Z28 still has longer legs though on the highway than the Maxima. Who knows what the variables are.. maybe the Maxy got the jump but the Z pulled at the end way past the camera?

Who knows...

Poorly done video, the camera guy should've been standing way the hell back so we could see the cars as they rolled by. Poor camera shooting always pisses me off.

First that, weren't no '98 Camaro. It was a 95..the fog lamps in the front end were shaped like 'evil eye' notorious in 95, also the red race line on the Camaro began being popular in 95 to be a stock feature; before that it was all aftermarket.

Second, That Maxima ain't stayin in front front for long; at highway speeds, the Camaro has alot longer legs then a Maxima. The way it looker from the shaky camera angle, the Camaro was catchin up and was about even when the movie finished. The Camaro probably won.

Please not that these are just my observations of the video, and could be off considering how much the movie was shaking.

As for my comments...next time, get the camera guy to stand way the hell back from the road so you can actually see the cars go flying by like i said above.

the word that comes to mind is ...... Alfing...
if anyone remember Alf the space alien. He liked two things; the cat and trying to video tape things.... the video was always extremly poor.. thus some of of us started calling crappy photography and video "alfing"

i couldn't tell what either cars were much less who won. And it looked like they where going really slow..

Its a '98 Z28 (not a Z28 badged V6 either). You can tell in the video by looking at the grill. He had headlight blackout covers on so it might look like the older front fascia. I wouldn't put incorrect info on the videos on my site. Not to mention that the driver of the Camaro wanted to kill us for publishing the video.

Note that I did not say which car won the race.

By the way the topic starter wasn't the driver of the Maxima.

I'm not sure since I didn't see the whole race, but in the video, you see the 3-4 shift of the Camaro which is at around 110-120 MPH. They raced to the end of that stretch of road...so it could be either one since the Maxima has an extra gear. I'm guessing that it was about even by the time they stoppped.

About the quality of the vid...I know the camera guy sucked...however that highway runs parallel to the airport (the perimeter of which is a few feet from where they were filming), and I guess he didn't want to risk getting gored by a bear trap.

i still say the Camaro won in the end, the Maxima's extra gear doesn't hold up against the top end power of the V8 4th.

Looking back on the vid, the camaro does hold the traits of a '98, but it also maintains the structure of the '95. With the two combined, i have to change my previous statement to that of a 98 with aftermarket lines and lamps.
