New Contest Idea? I've also shown my version.

So I keep seeng all these images on the Ford Interceptor concept (which really doesn't do much for me), and I am assuming it is supposed to be some sort of car that state governments would pick up as a police car, much like how they've done with the Dodge Charger. I guess the name spurs from Mad Max and his Interceptor Enforcer, since that was loosely based on a Mustang. Well, I thought we could do a "What would your answer to the Interceptor be?" contest, showing designs that other car companies (mainly the big 3) would use in response to this "Interceptor" to be possibly used as a cop car.

So, I've included my answer, a loose sketch of an answer from Chevy. I call it the AggreSSor, a super sport coupe that I guess you could stretch into a cop car.

Who do we talk to about contests on here, and does anyone else want to get in on this, or is it an idea that we should just let fade away? *G*

These forums are as much yours as they are anyone elses.
If you want to have a sort of "competition" then do what you think you need to do to rally people around (within reason of course) to participate.

I think the first thing you should think about, is why do you want this to be a competition? Too many bad connotations in my opinion.

Hmmm...ok, so the word competition inherently suggests that there will be some sort of prize at the end. Since I cannot offer anything, let's just say this is a challenge for those who are interested. I guess if no one is interested then this post will eventually die. It would be interesting just to see others design ideas. I'm curious to see a cool muscular police car version of something! I haven't seen one since Mad Max or the game Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. Why? I dunno. I just don't like Ford's version, or if it was even desiged for that reason. If you like Ford's version, show me why I should like it! I just thought a challenge would be fun. LMK *G*

cool idea ,but just to clarify the interceptor was based on the AUSTRALIAN XA-B FALCON kinda looks like your ford torino -sort of

Thanks for the clarification. I don't exactly know if we're calling it a contest moreso than a challenge. Would you like it to be strictly cop cars? I want to see some beefy ones. I absolutely love Barricade from the Transformers movie. I think if I had to drive a cop car, a Saleen Mustang would work!
