Quick Help - Primer

Well, if you checked up recently on the spoon sports civic thread, i said im going to repaint the kit in black. Well, i want to put primer over the orange. Can this be done? The paint is fine now, and it could easily be covered in my opinion. After i prime it (if its possible) i wanna put the black on. See if you can help. THanks.

Sure it could be done, but since you already have a coat of paint (and hopefully primer) on, then you risk putting too paint on the model and erasing fine details like panel lines, door handles, and emblems.

just paint over it if ur using the same type of Spray

black will cover anything and it doesn't let the undercoat bleed..

Can you post pics of the spoon wheels plz?

I would strip the paint before you prime and paint it again.

Yes, I would like to add to this, just in case you didnt know, you can put you model's body in a box of dot3 brake fluid , NOT BRAKE CLEANER, and after about 2 or 3 days, you can take the body out and easily wipe the paint off, and this procedure is newbie friendly, so, GOOD LUCK!!!
