Dude you probally just fried some fuses or possibly a relay.
Check all your fuses and relays for burnt connections.
You could have also fried the battery doing that be more careful
next time.
BTW this is a PERFORMANCE SECTION....DO NOT POST PROBLEMS
IN THIS THREAD there is a problem diagnosis section on the forum.
You will learn that really quick like I did.

Re: Buying a turbo...need advice

Well that was random as hell. Try making your own post on this, that way you will have more people reading about your problem, and they would be more inclined to help. It'd probably be a good idea to include year make model of your car too.

As for your problem, did you try replacing the battery? Do you see or smell any melted wires? Hopefully no ecu damage occurred, but you won't know that until you get a fresh battery in and try to crank it up.

Re: Buying a turbo...need advice

Really, I would do what was previously said by nofear. Check fuses and relays. If all of your wiring looks good, and you have a brand new battery (with tight connections) then i would start searching for an ecu to swap. Still no clue on the year make and model though.

Re: Buying a turbo...need advice

alright sounds good, and its a 93 honda civic ex, do you think i should just take it to the mechanic and ask him to check everything and bring a new battery for him to check if it is just that or if i need a new ecu

Re: Buying a turbo...need advice

Oh i thought you said you already tried a brand new battery. That would be my first guess. If you don't feel comfortable with doing the work yourself, take it to a mechanic. Chances are its not the ecu, but you won't know until everything else has been checked. Always replace the cheapest parts first.

Um.... I feel a little violated here. Please start you own thread. Turbo... Battery...? I don't see the similiarity here.
