2003 V8 Sport overhead-rattle

Long time no see, AF FOLKS!

I have an '03 Sport Edition V8 with the sunroof above my head. There is an annoying rattle coming from inside the sunroof assembly that is starting to get on my nerves.

If i push upwards the sunroof shade, it stops, which leads me to believe its something inside. Ive retracted the roof in order to try to look inside and see of there's a foriegn object or loose member that might be causing this, but to no avail.

I REALLY dont want to pay Toyota to look at it (seeing as how they tried to charge me 2 hours labor to tighten the bolt that holds on the skidplate, after they were the ones that had it off to perform the 30k maintenance in the 1st place).

Any have any ideas? Experience with this?

I think it is likely to be a loose screw or bolt etc in your sunroof (as you probably guessed). You should be able to get repair information from

You will have to buy the information, but it's cheaper than buying a Toyota FSM. If you want to do alot of repairs, I would suggest buying a FSM.
