2005 LeSabre limited A/C problem

A/C compressor turns off intermittantly. Fan speeds up trying to cool, but blows hot air. I get the compressor to come on by flooring accellerator. Buick shop can't find the problem.

Has anyone checked the refrigerant pressure on the high & low sides?

I assume the dealer has checked all the wiring connectors and the clutch relay also.

Yes. they have tried twice to find the problem with no success. the first time it was slightly low on freon. Is there a sensor that could be causing this problem?
