Unhappy 98 Accord 4cyl doesnt fire up PLEASE HELP!!

I have a 98 accord 2.3Lvtec and it just doesnt wanna fire up. the car has not been driven for good 2-3 weeks and the last time i drove it it overheated a lot but after i got home, i had it sit the whole night, and the next morning, after a lot of struggle, it fired up but a little sputtery and it wont idle normally, i had to keep it revving to keep the car on.
The problem right now is that it cranks and the engine turns just fine, i did a spark test with the appropriate tool and suggested specifications for the akkord and it sparks every cylinder just fine, the oil is full, the coolant is full, no coolant leaks, no oil leaks, bought new spark plug wires, but it just seems like when i crank the starter, there is no combustion, it just keeps squeeling the starter, absolutely no combustion and when i stop cranking it and get out and go close to the engine, it smells like gasoline(absolutely no leaks). I just dont know what to do anymore!! I am missing school because of this damn thing so someone please help me out here. please please please.

If you have spark and it doesn't run, check the fuel. Are the injectors working. If you smell gas and there are no obvious leaks, are the plug tips fouled?

Holding the gas pedal to the floor will put the PCM in "clear flood" mode and cut the fuel delivery from the injectors. It sounds like it's overfueling and can't start due to that.

If it starts with it floored, but loads up and dies when you back out of the throttle, you'll have to find the cause of the overfuel. The overheating you described has to be involved...maybe you cooked the fuel pressure regulator or something...

The plug tips seem OK and i would think that even if it was the plug tips, it would still fire up some of the cylinders correct?
And how do i test the injectors to see if they are working fine??

How do i go towards fixing this?? last night i was cranking it and i was not getting anything at all just the engine turning with the help of the starter, but today, i took off the PCV valve and tried to crank it and it is literally teasing me and sounds like its on the verge of firing up but still wont fire up. and every time i gas it, it would stop doing that too.
And how do i test for the fuel pressure regulator?

I think this is the problem but im not too sure because the last time that it did somewhat fire up(2 weeks ago), what you said above is exactly what happened, it did fired up sputtering when i kept the gas down but as soon as i let go of it, it died out on me. Now how do i fix this problem? where is the fuel pressure regulator in my engine bay? Maybe a diagram or something would be highly appreciated, and i m not sure if it would help you guys point it out if i take some pics of my engine bay and post it.
