Ferrari FF 1/24
Hi guys, today I'm presenting my 1/24 Ferrari FF, which I finally finished after more than one year "in between" build.
![]() As there is still no available model kit for this car, I had to combine parts from several other cars. The body is taken from Jamara's RC toy car, as well as the side mirrors, front and rear end of the chassis and the front lights and tail lights. I have also examined the Maisto RC toy car, but that is completly off sizewise, and totally looks like a cheap toy. The (main) chassis including (basic) engine is taken from a Revell 612 Scaglietti, as the wheel base was almost right, and I still had a 612 without body in my scrap stash. The wheels are HD 19' ADV rims, modified to match the FF unique rims, and tires from my scrap box that matched the rims. The front grill is a modified part from Fujimis F12 kit. The main interior is also taken from Revells 612, as a large 4 seater cockpit is needed, but only the very basic structure remained. I have used 4 seats from a 430, door panels and central tunnel from a California, and dashboard, front and rear windows from a California T. Side windows and various other details were scratch built, the scrap box provided a lot of different plastic parts, the accessory stash provided different P/E parts, Scale Production tubes and brake calipers, P/E mesh, seat belts, flocking, decals, emblems etc. Body color is Zero Paints Grigio Titanio, interior paint is custom mixed to match some reference photos I found. The interior could still use a lot more details and work, to match it more to the actual FF, but at some point, I thought it was enough. The Ferrari baby seat is built from a California seat, sheet and putty. What other reason could there be to buy a four seater Ferrari... ![]() Since I started this as little in between thing, I didn't really take any WIP pictures, sorry. All questions and comments, please feel free to ask and post. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If someone is interrested, here's a comparison between Grigio Titanio (FF), Grigio Ferro Met. (599) and Grigio Silverstone (250). ![]() ![]() ![]() The few WIP I actually took. ![]() ![]() ![]() Jamara vs. Maisto, and why I didn't use Maisto as base for this build. ![]() A family shot of the new guy and its main donors. ![]() ![]()

Re: Ferrari FF 1/24
Definitely not my favourite Ferrari, but the quality of your work is undeniable. Fantastic job. Lots of work and a nice utilization of the parts bin. My friend, who doesnt build, always asks why I have so many boxes of parts and broken kits just lying around. I'm going to show him this build so he can see why its always nice to have extra's on hand for projects like this.
Great work. David |

Unbelievable.
It's so great seeing this one built. I also bought the Jamara FF but didn't dare to start a conversion. It looks terrific. You used front and rear windows from a California T. May I ask why you didn't use Revells California? Congratulations to a wonderful car. Gesendet von meinem D6603 mit Tapatalk |

Re: Ferrari FF 1/24
Great Work!!! Looks like it came out of a box!
Should send this on to Revell / Fujimi & see if this could finally happen

Thanks guys!

The California T was the only donor car I had to buy especially for this build, since no other car in my parts bin had a suitable dashboard. The T is really different. So I bought the close top and used the rear window as well. I'm sure you can use the rear window of a "regular" Revell California just the same way.

Re: Ferrari FF 1/24
Great- great work. Love it!
Somewhere, I see a bburago 1/24 die-cast. But I never saw it again. Anyone now anything about it? |

Re: Ferrari FF 1/24
Unique and really amazing, I wish most kits would make such a result possible. One more proof that finally only the modeler's skills make or break a model.

By the way:
You inspired me to buy Jamaras 458 Speciale Aperta to combine with Revells 458. Size fits perfectly but the Speciale body needs much more work than the FF. Gesendet von meinem D6603 mit Tapatalk |

Re: Ferrari FF 1/24
Wow! Frankenstein's Ferrari. I love all that work, it looks incredible, like you started with a kit. The interior is very nice, and that body work looks flawless!
