Re: superbowl XLII

I think the Giants can give em a game. The Pats aren't untouchable, they've just been good enough to come out on top for 18 games. I'll be rooting for both teams on Feb 3. One team I want to see reach perfection. The other team will win me $180 if they pull off the upset.

Re: superbowl XLII

Last I saw the Patriots are favored by 13-14 points?

IMO the winner will be the team with the least amount of penalties, turnovers and errors. And the better QB and rushing/passing yardage.

Re: superbowl XLII

well i just read the paper and heres what it says-
the patriots are chasing history to be one of the select few teams to have a perfect season but if you go back about i think it said like 6 years ago the patriots were the underdogs by i think 30 points(rough figure off the top of my head) the young qb tom brady came back and started throwing td's one after the other and if you look at history for this season the underdogs (new york) might have the game already in this season!

Re: superbowl XLII

NY has a pass rush and that's it. Assuming its just as effective as its been all season (which I don't believe it will), it will most likely force the receivers and backs on the Pats side to make difficult catches, which just about everyone on that offense are already very good at doing. Whatever else NY can do on either side of the ball, the Pats can also do just as well, if not better. Shouldn't be a huge blowout, but shouldn't be decided by a field goal either.

Well Giants snuck it out. Anybody see this one coming from about 5 games ago? Glad the Pats lost though.
