is Visonik a good brand?

i have a 1995 gmc jimmy all stock and i have ordered off of sonicelectronix.com a amp, box, and sub deal and the brand is visonik there 2 12 inch subs and this is the amps keypoints

and i ordered dash and new door speakers for the jimmy and a dual reciever is there going to be enough power for replacing my stock speakers with the new speakers. The dual reciever it has 220 wats capability or do i need to get it to my amp in someway?

As for you set up, its fine, meaning you have the right ideal. The question about the HU being able to power the speakers, it depends what speakers they are. Brand/ size ?

Visonek is CRAP , and no, Im not one of those jack asses that biases them because there not name brand, there just not very good. However, as long as you have them in a good box, they will sound fine. NOT anything to compete with, but will suffice, just be sure to pet them in a well build and designed to spec box. Dual, pretty much the same boat, both, are about as cheap as it gets. But, personally, Id rather have those then standard stock equipment, if that matters at all. Hope this helps a little.

thanks for the post i dont really need anything special im only 15 and limited on money but thanks for the help

I feel your pain on that one .... when I was 15-16 whatever, I didn't have much money either.

Your setup should be all right. Its sucks that you have to be stuck with lower quality stuff though. Usually aftermarket speakers will sound better with a separate, dedicated amp since there is a lot more power, but the deck amp will be fine.

I hear ya loud and clear I have 2 car, one I went lavish in, the other just has plane Jane crap, but it sounds alot better than the stock

I couldnt agree more. But hell, even a stock amp will be fine for those (excluding the sub)

I installed a visonic 12" matched with a 250 watt amp(mono block 4ohm) I put it in a fiberglass box I formed to my wife's 97 blazer rear compartment. It was not the best sound I have ever heard,but with the budget I used for HER stereo this worked just fine. Keep in mind I am one of those guys that is bias to certain brands however it was a good investment for under $100. If you want a good single sub for under a $100 try an audiobahn sub tube http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...hn+ATB12T.html# this has satisfied my personal need with a pair in my Cadillic STS with a 2x250 Wolfenhage amp I brought back with me from germany before they hit the us and got bought out by rockford.
