Talking Idiot needs help!

If i floor it, It hesitates and acutally slows down before gradually (but still pretty quickly) speeding up, Would cleaning the MAF and throttle body fix that, or is it in need of new plugs/wires?

I'm more of an electrical/computer guy/carpentry guy, so i can figure out anything if it's connected to wires but engines aren't my thing. I am a quick learner, and thats my best guess at it (cleaning MAF/Throttle body or plugs). So please excuse me if this is a dumb question.

Re: Idiot needs help!

Cleaning MAF and throttle body certainly won't hurt if they have more than about 75K miles on them. Also, the back 3 plugs will take you twice as long as the front three. If you do change plugs and/or wires, be sure to put Delco ones back in. These cars can be finicky about wires and plugs. Some people have problems with other brands.
Are you sure the hesitation isn't just the time it takes to downshift to a lower gear?

It'll do this as soon as i floor it ...( I need to re-word this, I don't Put 'er all the way down, only about 7/10ths to the floor) at a greenlight, Can't go much lower than first gear. It'll get up to about 15km/h then slow down to about 12km/h before finaly reacting to the floored pedal. And if I do the plugs my self, I got all the time in the world to work on the back plugs!
