99 JGC limited 4.7 starts and then dies
So our battery died and after getting it jumped the Jeep would not stay running. As long as I was giving it gas it would stay running. As soon as I stopped giving it gas it would die. Any ideas?

Re: 99 JGC limited 4.7 starts and then dies
Hey a fellow Texan! I drive through RR everyday. Anyways, You have to jump it to get it running? Sounds like the battery is just flat out bad, and or alternator is going bad and not charing the battery. I would get the battery tested, but if its older than 2 years, its probably just bad. You can also get your alternator tested aswell. At Advance Auto I believe. Good luck.

Actually, it looks like the post were heavily corroded. Went down and cleaned them and now its running again. Got a love/hate relationship with her thats for sure.
Driving from Temple to Austin everyday has to be fun. |
