U joint

1988 Ranger custom, extended cab. I go through alot of u joints. The u joints on my rear drive shaft dont last more than like 2 or 3 weeks. Any ideas as too why?thanks in advance

Are you using a hammer to replace them ? Do you have a lift kit ? Both of these will shorten the life of a U joint.

Yeah...4 inch suspension and 2 inch body lift. And yeah i use a hammer to replace them. how else can you do it?

Even if you replace them any other way the lift is whats killing your joints so quickly(the angle of the driveshaft particularly). Look into aftermarket sources sometimes they have repairs for this kind of thing or just remove the lift.
