Odyssey trailor kit

I just purchased a small boat and I need a trail hitch put on my 2006 Odyssey. The Honda dealer kit is very expensive and includes a power steering cooler and transmission cooler. Is this really neccessary to have these for a small boat? Would I be ok with just putting a hitch on my self?

any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Odyssey trailor kit

you dont have to if ur taking the boat out once in a while but if ur a river rat than u have to do it trust me what ur spending on the oil coolers is alot less than a whole new tranny plus labor need i say more. a hitch is not that hard to put on but if u want any warranty than its best to let the dealer do it that way they have to warranty their labor and parts
