Re: Suggestions

u know u shouldnt say that, i've known about the skyline since like 95, way b4 the gt games and forza's. maybe he's just heard about it thru a t.v. show or maybe he did find it in a game. who cares. he wants the car. let him find out about.
rbmotors is good, just google that name and it should come up. go to the site find the phone number and call. tell him ur looking for any skyline in decent shape(salvage type would b too expensive to get parts for)91-96. those two era's were imported.
wen motorex shut down they let em finish the cars that were already here, and that was it. right now it is still leagle to import the r33 i dont know y tho.
i did hear that nissan brought a few of each generation here for mags to test b4 the r35 comes. u can try contacting nissan directly, but i doubt they'd let u have it, unless for mucho dollars

Re: Suggestions

i have found out y the r33 is still allowed in, motorex was shut down for many reasons, but the biggest, nhts found out that the different gen skylines(r32-34) would crash test differently. motorex only ever used the r33 for crash testing. and because it passes, as long as some is a r.i.(registered importer) of the nissan skyline gt-r33 u can go out and buy one.
granted it would still b damn near 50g.
go out and get a 240sx, and mod it to look like a gtr, buy the rhd conversion, and try and squeez a rb26dett into the engine bay, it would end up being much cheaper

Re: Suggestions

on that wealthy part, 70% of millionaires never attended college, only 6% have graduated college. yea stick with the 240, if u cant fit the rb26dett in, shove a sr20det in

Re: Suggestions

i would assume they make on for the sr20, but i doubt it for the rb26.
if ur gonna get a 240sx and do the engine conversion, just keep the trans that's with the engine.
if u dont know manual learn, u never know when it'll come in handy, that, and almost all fun cars that can b driven r manuals, and if htey're not they r paddle shift clutchless cars(ferrari, lambo, some porsches, and others)

Re: Suggestions

you can fit the rb series motors in a 240sx but you either have to do the AWD conversion or get the rb20 or rb25 trans to convert the rb26 into a RWD. the rb20 motor swap is only about 1k plus shipping, also just take a look around. the swap is not really cheap and you may find a good deal on a real skyline. the sr20 is a good motor also but is really common so i tend to stray away. the red top sr20 and a s13 240sx would be your best bet. they are very easy and a dime a dozen.
