i just replaced the fuel pump in my 90 accord, since then i have only ben able to get it started once. the car trys to turn over but just wont start. i've heard that the fuel pump relay tends to go out on the accords, so i'm wondering if that is the likely cause of my problems, or if there is something else i should check into. also, is there any way to check the relay to see if it is functional?
any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you. |

was it starting before you replaced the pump? you should check if the pump is actually working and that the engine is getting fuel.

when i got the car it had no battery in it. Tthe previous owner told me that he hadit checked and it was the fuel pump. i know the new fuel pump is working because i started it once, and it ran for about 20 minutes then died out. i haven't been able ot get it restarted since then.

still could be a faulty new pump....
I'd check fuel pressure first |
