'95 Talon TSi AWD
Well, here is the progress of my car from the beginning to where it is now... Enjoy the pictures!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I soon had the interior of the car apart and started getting myself familiar with the car. ![]() Here are one of the pictures of the car when I was having a little photo shoot with it and my ’99 GS-T. ![]() ![]() Then the real tear down began. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My dad (who owns a body shop), found out the car had body work done to it before… Bad body work at that.. So my dad did his best to fix it all. ![]() ![]() And…HOLY BONDO BATMAN! ![]() Not too long after we had the car ready for primer. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Wet sanding… ![]() Get rid of all of the sound deadening, and painted the hatch area so It would look halfway decent.. ![]() Rewired my fuel pump, installed some subs I got from a friend, dyed my carpet, and the interior went back together. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And no, I did not put the holes in the seat for the amp; one of the previous owners had to of so I just utilized them.. ![]() Then….paint! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My reflection in the clear.. ![]() ![]() Out in the sun! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bumpers? I think so! ![]() ![]() ![]() And there you have it. From the beginner until now. The interior kind of got taken apart again to install a few gauges and get my windshield wiper fluid pumps changed. So soon enough the car will be completed body and interior wise. Then mechanical starts. All that is getting done is a driver’s side front axle and hub. Then I have to put a flywheel cover on and install my new tubular type manifold and o2 dump housing... Then a full 3in’ exhaust. ![]() More to come! Let me know what you think! |

Re: '95 Talon TSi AWD
Yep.. The biggest "modifications" I have done to the car are hard Ebay SMIC piping w/ a Greddy Type-S, and a 4in' K&N air filter. Other than that there isn't much done to it.
Here is an older picture before the BOV was recirculated. ![]() There are still things I need to work out in the car. Then I have to decide if I want to sell it or keep it.. Very hard to decide.. |

Re: '95 Talon TSi AWD
Are you running at stock boost? Check into powder coating your valve cover. A lot of places sell there covers with an option to trade in your core. See if you can get one the same color as your car!

Nice car!
Must be nice having access to a full body shop, did you ever think of painting it a totally different colour? It's a shame we never got these here in NZ, I think they would have been popular.

Yes as a matter of fact there are! This would include turning this car from street-drivable into a full drag/track car. Here was the original list of things I was going to collect:
EVO. III 4g63 block, bored .040" over. Throw in a Eagle 100mm crank. Eagle rods, wiesco pistons; making it a 2.3L stroker. 1450cc injectors, running on 'Link V3. All this powering either an HX35 or 40. I never quite got to decide which I wanted to do. There are a bunch of other random little parts I planned on/needed to get. That was the plan until about 3 weeks ago. Then my Eclipse's headgasket went.. Picture of the Eclipse: ![]() So now I have been buying parts to get that running again... Not stock though :P What it comes down to now, if do I stick it out and keep both? Or sell the Talon? IDK. I think I'm keeping both. The Talon still needs to be completely redone suspension wise. I figured why not redo the engine. Then the 2.3 will come into play. |

I was either going to do the same color as the car, or starlight purple I believe they call it. IDK yet. I'm not putting much more money into the thing right now though. |

Then I was talked into keeping the factory color. I did because I thought it would look supper factory when I mod. it and supprise people. |

Re: '95 Talon TSi AWD
Theres a couple places within a couple hours from where I'm at and they can be found on http://www.tiradocustomcoatings.com/ or www.rochesterdsm.org. See if you cant get your hands on an aftermarket boost gauge. They can be had pretty cheap. I used glowshift gauges, www.glowshift.com.

And I do have a Autometer Carbonfiber boost gauge. A friend of mine gave it to me for free so maybe thats why it doesn't work well, lol. |

Re: '95 Talon TSi AWD
Sounds like it would be a nice setup. Close to what mine is aside from the stroker and turbo... One word of advice from what I've run into with mine, do any maintenance items first before you get started on the build. Nothing worse than having a car that runs awesome but stupid little things break on it.
Keep us posted as you start working on it!
